For Exterior Surface of: Plywood, Masonry, Clapboard, Shakes, Woods, Primed Metal and Shingles

Remove all dirt, grease, peeling, scaling and blistering paint by sanding smoothly. Scrub mildewed areas with detergent and water. Remove paint, mildew, efflorescence and loose chalking with a stiff brush or coarse rag. In some cases a separate primer such as DUNIT EXTERIOR LATEX PRIMER may be required on heavily cracked and chalked areas, nail holes and seams before and after chalking, as well as on any exposed metal. No priming is required over previously painted surfaces in good condition, masonry, sheet rock or other drywall construction, asbestos or asphalt shingles. Cedar shingles should be treated as new wood. ON BARE WOOD: Prime with DUNIT EXTERIOR LATEX PRIMER and allow 48 hours to dry. Follow with DUNIT EXTERIOR HOUSE PAINT. OLD PAINTED WORK: Apply one or two coats of this paint, allowing to dry overnight between coats. SHAKES AND WOOD SHINGLES: WHEN STREAKED, DISCOLORED OR STAINED applies Latex Prime and follow with two coats of DUNIT EXTERIOR HOUSE PAINT. Striated type shingles should receive at least two coats of paint. BARE MASONRY: Apply two coats of this paint and Wet surface before the first coat especially in hot, humid temperatures.

SHAKE WELL before use and apply with nylon brush or roller or pad applicator moistened with water Surface may be damp or dry. Temperature should be above 55 degrees Fahrenheit. If necessary to thin, add water. Rinse hands and painting tools in warm, soapy water. Do not apply to surfaces in hot or direct sunlight. Do not start and exterior paint job if rain is predicted in the next 24 hours.

One gallon covers approximately 400 square ft per gallon on previously painted surfaces: 200-30 sq. ft. on shakes and asbestos shingles: 100-150 sq. ft on weathered asbestos or other porous surfaces. Thinning is not recommended, unless necessary.

This dries to touch in 30 minutes. If second coat is desired, wait overnight before applying. Stop painting 2 hours before anticipated rainfall. High humidity will prolong drying time. THIS PAINT DOES NOT CONTAIN LEAD OR MERCURY COMPOUNDS.

KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION. DO NOT TAKE INTERNALLY. CLOSE CONTAINER AFTER EACH USE. AVOID PROLONGED CONTACT WITH SKIN OR BREATHING OF SPRAY MIST. KEEP FROM FREEZING.

If you scrape sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC, EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN. PREGNANT WOMEN SHOULD ALSO AVOID EXPOSURE. Wear a NIOSH-approved respirator to control lead exposure. Clean up carefully with a HEPA vacuum and a wet mop.
