Surface must be free of oil, grease, dust and dirt. New Work: Prepare surfaced by sanding in the direction of the grain. Remove dust by vacuuming and tack mop with clean cloth dampened with mineral spirits. Old Work: completely remove old finish in poor condition to bare wood. Clean surface as above. This product is fast drying and may be sanded between coats. Where sanding between coats is impractical, recoat within 24 hours.

Apply directly from can using a brush, roller, sprayer or lamb’s wool applicator at room temperature and not in direct sunlight. Mixing before use stir thoroughly: stir occasionally during use. Allow to dry and then screen. Do not thin. Do not apply over sanding sealer, wood filler or finishes containing sterates.

Approximately 400-600 square feet per gallon (depending on the surface) keep can close when not in use. For cabinet, furniture and fine work pour polyurethane into a clean container and do not return polyurethane to original containers. This product is designed to be used directly from the can without thinning under normal environmental and application conditions.

Dries in two hours; allow two or more hours between coats. Do not use over white or pastel surfaces. Note: dry time and cure time may be affected by environmental conditions and application methods. Cold temperature, high humidity, poor ventilation or

Dunham’s High Gloss Polyurethane contains petroleum solvents. Keep away from heat and flame. To avoid inhaling vapors or dust, open window and doors to use other means to ensure entry of fresh air during application and drying. Always wear respiratory protection. If you experience eye watering, headaches, dizziness or nausea, increase fresh air or leave the area. If swallowed, get quick medical attention. Do not induce vomiting. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Wear protective clothing and thoroughly wash after handling. Do not store above 100 degrees F (38 degrees C). Do not smoke during application and until all vapors (odors) are gone. To avoid spontaneous combustion during temporary waste storage, soak waste immediately after use in water filled, closed metal container.
