New Metal-should be sandblasted to a Commercial Blast (SSPC-SP6). Results as dependent on extent of cleaning of surface. Priming New Metal- use this product direct to metal. Galvanized metal should be primed with a galvanized metal primer. Previously Painted Surfaces- All surfaces should be clean, free of dirt, grease, oil, dust, wax, mildew, rust, water, soluble materials or peeling paint. Remove loose paint by scraping. Sanding dust must be removed prior to paint application. Wash to remove all contaminants. Rinse thoroughly with water and allow drying. All areas that are rusting, blistering, cracking or peeling must be cleaned to bare metal. This product is intended to use directly from the can. Do not thin.

This will cover 375-425 sq. feet (34.9-39.5 sq. meters) per gallon depending on porosity and texture of surface. Uniformity of color is dependant on batch consistency.

Primer will dry under normal conditions temperature of 77 degrees Farenheit, dries to touch in 4-6 hrs. It can be recoated overnight, with light sanding between coats. Fully cures in approximately 7-10 days, depending on environmental conditions.

Clean equipment immediately after use with mineral spirits. Flushing spay equipment at noon break, with thorough cleaning at the end of the work day, is a good work practice. USE COMPLETELY OR DISPOSE OF PROPERLY. An empty container with product residue may still be flammable: follow all hazard statements until it has been disposed of properly. This product contains organic solvents with may cause adverse effects to the enviroment if handled improperly. Save unused product for touch-up purposed or a househodl hazardous waste collection program. Dry, empty containers may be recycled in a can recycling program. Local disposal requirments may vary: consult your sanitation department or state designated environmental agency for more information on disposal options.

MAY CAUSE EYE, SKIN, NOSE AND THROAT IRRITATION. NOTICE: Repeated and prolonged exposure to solvents may lead to permanent brain and nervous system damage. Eye watering, headaches, nausea, dizziness and loss of coordination are signs that solvent levels are too high. Intentional misuse by deliberately concentrating and inhaling the contents may be harmful or fatal. Keep away for heat, spark and flame. VAPORS MAY CAUSE FLASH FIRE. Use only with adequate ventilation. Do not breathe vapors, spray mist or sanding suds. Avoid contact with eyes and prolonged or repeated contact with skin. Wear eye protection and gloves. To avoid breathing vapors or spray mist, open window and doors or use other means to ensure fresh air entry during application and drying. If you experience eye watering, headaches or dizziness, increase fresh airs of ear a properly fitted vapor/particulate respirator approved by NIOSH for use with paints or leave the area. In all cases follow respirator manufacturer's directions for respirator use. Close container after each use. FIRST AID: If affected by inhalation of vapors or spray mist, remove to fresh air. In case of eye contact, flush immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and call a physician; for skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water. In case of ingestion-DO NOT INDUCE VOMITTING, get professional medical help immediately. IN CASE OF FIRE: Use Foam, CO (2) dry chemical or water fog. IN CASE OF SPILL: Absorb with inert material and dispose of as specified under "CLEAN UP" This product is designed to be used directly from the can without thinning under normal environmental and application conditions.

If you scrape sand or remove old paint, you may release lead dust. LEAD IS TOXIC, EXPOSURE TO LEAD DUST CAN CAUSE SERIOUS ILLNESS, SUCH AS BRAIN DAMAGE, ESPECIALLY IN CHILDREN.
