Surface should be free of all wax, loose paint, grease, dirt, mildew and other contaminants that can interfere with proper adhesion. Wash dusty and salty surfaces using a garden hose or preferably a power washer. Remove excess chalk before priming. Blistered, checked and peeling paint must be scraped and sanded. Unpainted wood and severely weathered surfaces must be cleaned prior to priming. Do not use over raw plaster not properly cured. Metal surfaces must also be clean and properly primed with Dunit Acrylic Exterior Primer and Sealer. Before painting, dull down glossy surfaces by sanding and washing. Non weathered areas must be cleaned well using a solution of water and tri sodium phosphate to remove surface contaminants. For mildew removal, scrub with a commercial mildew remover or a solution of one quart household bleach in three quarts of warm water. Rinse well using a garden hose or a power washer. Always wear protective goggles, gloves and follow all cautionary measures.

Stir thoroughly with paddle from bottom of can before applying. Do not thin sealer unless absolutely necessary. If paint must be thinned, use water only and sparingly. Do not use mineral spirits, turpentine or similar paint thinner. Do not apply the latex sealer when surfaces or air temperature are below 50 degrees F or in any or damp weathers. Avoid painting in direct sunlight. For best results apply generously by brush, roller or spray at rate of 400 square feet per gallon. A two coat application provides double protection if desired. Allow one hour drying between coats when second coat is to be applied. Dunit Acrylic Exterior Primer and Sealer cures in four hours and can then be coated with an exterior finish. NEW WORK: Sand surfaces smooth. Allow new plaster or concrete to cure thoroughly before priming. OLD WORK: Wash old surfaces with detergent to remove oil, grease, etc., especially over previous painted surfaces. Be sure to rinse detergent off to ensure adequate bonding of the latex sealer to the surface. Dacron, Dyne and Mohair fabric rollers work best with Latex Paints Lambs wool and viscose, rayon rollers have poor water resistance and are not recommended for use with latex paints. Applications: Brush Flow on liberally with wide brush. Finish off immediately by brushing up and down lightly with the tip of brush while paint is still wet. If a second coat is required, wait 4 hours between coats. Rollers-roll on lightly and slowly using crisscross overlapping strokes.
